Arrive no later than 7:30 am.
All the golf carts will be parked in the entry area.
Check in with the cart staff who will have your cart assignment and help you find your name and hole number on the cart. Place your clubs on the back of that cart.
NOTE: If you are walking, you will still put your clubs and walking cart on the golf cart. This is the fastest way to get to your start hole. The cart staff (or other club members) can assist you in loading your clubs and cart.
Go to the Pro Shop and pay your green fees and/or cart fee if riding.
It’s important to check in with the Pro Shop. If we have cancellations, we may have to rearrange groups.
Club announcements start at 7:45, please listen for any course specific information for play that day.
Drive out to your starting hole, the number will be on your cart sign with your name.
If you are walking, park the cart off the cart path and take the key with you. When the round is finished you load your bag and walking cart and return the golf cart to the Pro Shop.
Important - Do not Tee off until 8am even if you get there early, the course crew needs this time to finish up.
Tips: The cart staff works very hard on game day, lining up and labeling our carts, assisting in the loading/unloading of pull carts, wiping down clubs and loading them into your car. Please remember to bring tip money if you have the cart staff help you.

STEP ASIDE SCRAMBLE RULES
Each player contributes at least two drives.
There is only one score for each hole for the team, record Gross Score.
Lowest team score wins.
For a Foursome
Every player tees off on each hole
Select the best drive and mark that spot. Other players pick up their balls. The player whose drive is chosen does not hit the second shot i.e. she steps aside. The other players in the group each hit a second shot from a spot within one club length of the selected drive. Ball must be from the same cut of grass (fairway, first cut, rough.)
Select the next best shot. The player whose shot is chosen does not hit. Continue in this manner with the player who has the chosen shot not playing the next shot, until you reach the green.
Select the best shot on the green and mark that spot. Each player then putts (everyone putts.) Continue in this manner until the ball is holed. Putts should be played from within three inches of the marked spot.
For a Threesome
On the drive, one player on a rotating basis gets a second shot. In this way you have four shots like the rest of the teams.
All of you play the other shots rather than having one drop out -- so you have three shots like the other teams i.e. you choose between your three shots.
And again, one of you on a rotating basis gets an extra try on the greens to total four shots.
It is easiest to keep track if the same person has the extra drive and extra putt on the same hole. But not Required.
One exciting change for this season addresses the desire for existing players to play at a reasonable pace, while allowing new players the opportunity to experience on-course play, while still developing skills. Experienced players will play their own ball as normal. New players will be encouraged to Buddy up with another player and play their next shot from their Buddy’s ball.
How does this work?
This is not a scramble, you do not have to mark the ball and be right next to your Buddy.
The more experienced player will walk to their ball as normal, prep for their shot and hit, they are not required to advise you on your shots.
As the newer golfer simply position yourself across from your Buddy so as not to crowd their game, drop your ball and hit your own shot. If you have questions at this point, you may ask what are my options here? Preferably after the other player has hit.
We will discuss this at Orientation on June 2nd if you have questions.
Be respectful of other players and stop talking when they are ready to hit
Captains please keep a target of 15 minutes per hole pace, plus or minus for PAR 5 and PAR 3
You should be able to see the group in front of you, ideally they are leaving the green when you Tee off
If the group behind you is standing waiting for you, pick up the pace
We usually have 9 groups so 1 group per hole
Players please respect the captain if they ask you to play a little faster
Think about which club before you get to the ball, be ready to hit
Play Ready golf. If you are ready and the other play is not, let them know that you will hit first
Be aware of who is hitting, don't be in front of them or in their way
Watch them hit, so you can help find their ball if needed
If there is a lost ball you have 1 minute to find, then move on
When there is space available members may invite a guest. The same guest can be invited up to two times per season.
After you have signed yourself up for the week, call the Pro Shop after Sign ups close on Tuesday, to inquire about the availability for a guest to join. If there are spots available, they will add your guest to play with you on Thursday. Normal green fees apply for your guest.
