There are two apps we should all have when playing golf. Go to your app store a search for these.
Golf Pad - Allows you to see distances to the green, but also helpful for TD, distances to the ditch. This app is free and easy to use. There are obvioulsy other apps that do this and more if you pay for premium.
The Official Rules of Golf - The USGA’s official app for the Rules of Golf, which is always kept up to date with the latest Rules content. You can look up a situation while you are out on course. Or when you get home. There are videos that talk through certain situations. If you want to imrpove your golf while witting on the couch, take the Rules 101 course to learn how the rules can help you.

One exciting change for this season addresses the desire for existing players to play at a reasonable pace, while allowing new players the opportunity to experience on-course play, while still developing skills. Experienced players will play their own ball as normal. New players will be encouraged to Buddy up with another player and play their next shot from their Buddy’s ball.
How does this work?
This is not a scramble, you do not have to mark the ball and be right next to your Buddy.
The more experienced player will walk to their ball as normal, prep for their shot and hit, they are not required to advise you on your shots.
As the newer golfer simply position yourself across from your Buddy so as not to crowd their game, drop your ball and hit your own shot. If you have questions at this point, you may ask what are my options here? Preferably after the other player has hit.
We will discuss this at Orientation on June 2nd if you have questions.
Each of the holes have names! Here are the front nine. Notice some have "The" in the name and some don't.
